    The Weiss School academic program addresses the individual abilities and aspirations of each gifted child. Weiss School teachers, students, and parents work together to develop a customized program of study for each student that builds upon their individual strengths while also working to enhance their areas in need of improvement.
  • Limitless Learning

    Based on current, research-based best practices for gifted education, both grade-based and content-based acceleration academic learning tracks are available for Weiss School students. Students are able to accelerate one or more grade levels beyond their age-group peers in various academic subjects.
  • Creativity and Innovation

    Weiss School students are consistently encouraged to absorb and synthesize information in innovative ways, reach independent conclusions, and identify creative methods to apply newly acquired knowledge.
  • Multi-Disciplinary Integrated Approach

    Weiss School teachers work collaboratively across grade levels and academic subjects to deliver advanced instruction to gifted students in an integrated manner. By utilizing this multi-disciplinary instructional approach, Weiss School students learn to solve real-world problems in an authentic approach among all subject areas.
  • Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills

    At The Weiss School, both affective and cognitive strategies are considered when planning academic lessons for Weiss School students. Instructional strategies are implemented that encourage students to clarify issues, arrive at conclusions, and generate and address practical solutions. Additionally, the practices of comparing and contrasting ideals with actual implementation, identifying significant similarities and differences, distinguishing relevant facts from irrelevant facts, and providing and exploring implications and consequences are incorporated in the curriculum to promote critical-thinking skills.
  • Practical Applications of Knowledge

    Weiss School students are frequently provided with the opportunity to practically demonstrate their knowledge by applying what they have learned. Examples of practical applications include students simulating and re-enacting historical events, conducting original science experiments, establishing community service projects, publishing original pieces of writing, creating original works of visual art, writing musical lyrics and original music, and choreographing original dance pieces.
  • Adaptation to Individual Learning Styles

    All Weiss School faculty utilize instructional methods that address and adapt to the individual learning styles of each Weiss School student.

The Weiss School is a co-ed private school that serves gifted students in PreK-3 through 8th grade in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
